As the base trim, the 2025 Nissan Frontier S gets exciting new features for added convenience, including a standard sliding rear window, a sunglasses holder in the overhead console and a newly standard telescopic-adjusting steering wheel. Powered by the responsive, direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 rated for 310 hp and 281 lb-ft of torque, S 4x2 now receives a higher max tow rating of 7,150 lbs, which is a 510-lb increase from the truck’s previous 6,640-lb max tow rating.

The 2025 Nissan Frontier’s PRO-X and PRO-4X grades receive a more rugged appearance with over-fenders, Lava Red tow hooks and a new tailgate finisher. Frontier PRO-X/PRO-4X are equipped for next-level off-roading with specs like all-terrain tires and Bilstein off-road suspension components, while PRO-4X has underbody skid plates for protection with an electronic locking rear differential that provides added traction when things get challenging.

New for 2025, PRO-X models now get a standard four-way power passenger seat, and PRO-4X is now available with the Crew Cab long-wheelbase configuration. Enhancements to the Intelligent Around View Monitor make the system more effective, and the Off-Road Mode viewing function can now be used while driving at up to 12 mph—which enables the system to cover a wider range of typical technical off-road speeds and help drivers spot obstacles when tackling more rugged terrain.
