What We Know About the 2018 Nissan Leaf

The 2018 Nissan Leaf is nearing its reveal and Nissan has been teasing us for the last few months about what we can expect. For starters, the 2018 Leaf will feature a new shape. The shape of the Leaf was inspired by an airplane wing profile. This will help reduce drag and increase slipperiness, giving it more electric range by reducing wind resistance. The 2018 Leaf is also sits lower to the ground, cutting down on lift.

We've gotten a preview of its headlights and Nissan has confirmed other details about the 2018 Leaf. Nissan has confirmed that the Leaf will introduce its own form of e-Pedal one-foot driving technology, allowing drivers to brake, slow down, and accelerate with just one pedal. In addition, the Leaf will offer ProPilot semi-autonomous operating capabilities.

The all-new 2018 Nissan Leaf will be revealed on September 5th, just before the Frankfurt Motor Show.
